A popular speaker, author and consultant to the public accounting profession, Steve McIntyre-Smith teaches 'real-life' skills that you can take back to the office and use straight away.

Key Note Address...

On 30th September 2004, Steve was the keynote speaker for CGA Ontario's public practice convention, at the Renaissance Airport Hotel, Toronto, where he addressed an audience of 160 CGAs on the future of the small firm.

Extracts from The CGA Newsletter 'Statements' below...

'The convention opened on Thursday September 30th with the usual evening reception and dinner. The keynote address was provided by Steve McIntyre Smith, PhD, MIDM, who is president of the MFA Group Inc., a consulting firm that deals exclusively with public accounting firms.

Steve spoke very entertainingly about the challenges faced by the small- to-medium sized accounting firms, and his plan to encounter these challenges head-on and meet them.

He gave the CGAs in attendance sound and practical advice on what they can do to build a successful practice; the more profitable areas of work; what they can do to attract the right sort of client; how to fire the wrong clients so they can concentrate on bigger and better things; and other similar areas.'

A Visit To Bangladesh...

In mid September 2004, Steve was away in Bangladesh, where he gave several 2 day workshops on marketing for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh, The Association of Accounting Technicians of Bangladesh and The Ad Club.
